Done! ...for now.

Alright. I've got my two case studies sections done (at least until after the trip) and my preliminary sources posted for my chapter on education. Honestly, I must say that the most difficult and time-consuming part of this whole project is posting it in Wiki. Research, I'm used to. Working with Wiki's code (or any computer code, for that matter) I am not. Let's hope I don't forget everything I've tentatively learned by the next time I work on it.

Going to get started packing tonight, get the rest of my stuff together tomorrow, and then spend a very looooooooooong time on a plane. :p But it'll be worth it. Hope everything goes smoothly. Next time I post, it'll be from Japan where I am hoping to be writing nightly on the occurrences of each day.

Case Studies

Today I took my research thus far and made rough drafts of my articles on WikiBooks. I am hoping to be finished by tomorrow, Friday at the latest so I can focus on packing for the trip. I feel fairly well prepared for both my presentations during the trip and feel as though I have a good start to my chapter on Japanese Education. I plan to post my preliminary works cited list soon as well on that so I can have everything out of the way.

In other news, Webster U is still working on re-registering me for the class since they didn't do what they were supposed to to begin with. I am hoping that the situation is resolved ASAP so I can actually log in and post to the course again. Thus far, though it is an aggravating issue, the nice people at Webster have been pleasant enough. I hope it stays that way.

Getting Back in the Groove...

After enjoying my weekend without studying or homework, I figured it's time to start working on my project for this class. I selected "Children & Education in Japan" which, to me, means studying the workings of Japan's education system including its history and politics as well as the success of their students on a global scale. I also plan to include studies regarding the psychological effects which the stresses of the Japanese school system have on their students and the Ministry of Education's responses to these issues.

If anyone reading this can think of any other areas of study in which I should pursue, I would be happy to hear them.
